Christmas at Fort Clinch State Park Florida

Our Christmas was made extra special by the fact that we officially moved into our school bus tiny home and spent our first night at a campsite in this rolling home.

We decided to stay at this park because it was relatively close and was fairly inexpensive; and it had openings when I booked the site on the 23rd of December on the Reserve America website.

We arrived in our spot, hooked up the electric, and let the dogs loose to explore their new digs for awhile. We set up the bus with the decor we take down while travelling and decided on what we were making for dinner.

The sunset was perfect. The colors danced on the water from the inlet. Passing shrimping boats skimmed across the orange and strawberry sherbet sky. Families from other campsites came to the river’s edge to celebrate the Christmas Eve sunset.

It was great to get the bus out for a drive and to spend the night in a new location in our tiny home that we have so much invested in; to see the fruits starting to bear from the labor we put in. It was wonderful to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day with Destoni and the pups in the very first of many adventures awaiting us.
